That's right all you creeptastic Canadians (or people who live close to the border), this Saturday (or October 31st, for those who have trouble doing the math...) Rue Morgue Magazine is holding it's 12th annual Halloween celebration, the Frankenstein Formal!
For those of you who don't know any better, Rue Morgue Magazine is the best regular horror publication around, and let me tell you, they throw one hell of a party. I was at the 2005 incarnation of this bash, which was also on Halloween night, and I had the time of my life. There's nothing like drinking a bunch of beer with awesome people at an old church while horror movie themes blare over the PA and Fulci's The Beyond is playing on screens all over the place!
This year, the RM crew is holding the party at a new location, club Revival, and it looks like it may just be the most fun you can have without getting arrested.
The official lineup of fun and information for this year's party is listed below (along with a link to buy tickets online). However, if you are planning to go and haven't bought your ticket yet, you should do so soon because this puppy is guaranteed to sell out!
All of FOTD's staff is making a trip up North tomorrow (Friday, October 30th) to get in on the festivities. Because of this, you can expect that there won't be many updates on the site for the next couple of days. But, don't worry because, come Monday, things will be back to normal and FOTD will have more junk for you to peruse (including my comprehensive review of the Night of the Creeps Blu-Ray and DVD!).
